Meet Mario Raia
Mario Raia, brings 35+ years of experience helping organizations understand and link activity to practical, tangible, bottom line results.

A highly experienced accountant, and business coach, Mario has worked with a range of small/medium businesses, as well as global organizations, utilizing his expertise in tying strategy to tactical execution.

He works with companies to:

  • Create or improve business plans
  • Build strong, cohesive management teams with clear roles, responsibilities and accountability to achieve results
  • Strengthen processes and flow management in all functional areas such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
  • Provide the financial acumen needed to design, forecast and track financial results
  • Evaluate financial and performance management systems through the use of a simple easy-to-follow scorecard

Mario began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst and Young, an international CPA firm, before founding an accounting and a consulting firm. Mario holds a Masters degree in Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He has studied with Eliyahu Goldratt, author of “The Goal” and the founding thinker of the Theory of Constraints. He is a certified practitioner of supply chain and production logistics (from manufacturing to retail), and has also worked extensively in project based environments.

He is also a certified Catipult Planning Coach

He lives in Vancouver, Washington where he enjoys a range of outdoor activities. He also serves in various leadership positions for community organizations and for his church.

Meet Peter McCarroll
Peter is also a Certified Master Profit First Business Coach and has more than 28 years of experience. As such, he is an expert in helping SMB’s implement and monitor their cash flow, ensuring they have the right amount of cash, in the right place, at the right time.

He founded Fuel Accountants in 2006. In 2013 he was awarded Xero’s coveted “Most Valuable Professional” award (the first-ever recipient) and is a qualified accountant in both New Zealand and Canada.

As an accounting professional, Peter brings a wealth of experience working with small/medium businesses, helping them get their info systems in place, and making sure the financials give the SMB owner what they need to make great decisions.

He started his career at his Father’s accounting firm in New Zealand, then spent 11 years working with Deloitte (one of the top 4 accounting firms in the world) in New Zealand, Canada and the USA. He also owns a software company providing online payments gateway for clients.

At Deloitte he worked with larger companies, specializing in Insurance and financial institutions, but now enjoys helping smaller family-owned businesses (SMB’s) with a special interest in technology, ecommerce and online businesses.

Peter resides in Toronto, Canada with his wife and family. He is actively involved with his Church, supporting and teaching the occasional class. He recently acquired frisky kittens (Milo and Otis) who accompany him as he works with his clients for the betterment of their businesses.

What’s the best thing you do for your clients?
I see dead people. What I really mean is that I can look at a set of financials and immediately see opportunities for improvement in profit, cash flow, and asset utilization. I have an undying commitment to help my clients get their numbers right and significantly improve their bottom line.
